Opinion: High Schoolers are NOT too old for Trick-or-Treating!

Jackson Bass, Blazefeed Editor

Trick-or-Treating is an all-time classic Halloween activity. Without it, there wouldn’t be a lot to do on the 31st.

However, many High Schoolers believe they have outgrown Trick-or-Treating, and that blows my mind! I am here to tell every High Schooler they are not too old to participate in Trick-or-Treating.

Many kids in High School ditch Trick-or-Treating in favor of other activities such as watching a spooky movie and going to a haunted house. Although these activities fit the season and are fine activities on their own, anyone can do these things throughout the entire month of October.

Trick-or-Treating, on the other hand, is something that can only be done on Halloween.

Everyone WILL outgrow Trick-or-Treating. I doubt that people in their 60s are particularly interested in participating in it still. This is why it is important to enjoy Trick-or-Treating while you still can, and there are many reasons to enjoy it!

Trick-or-Treating is a once-every-year social event! On what other day can you get together with friends, put on costumes, and get free candy by ringing random people’s doors? It is a time to hang out with familiar friends, catch up with neighbors and friends who’ve been away, and enjoy the sights of Halloween night.

Don’t miss out on Trick-or-Treating just because you’re in high school. Get together with your friends, eat a truckload of candy, and enjoy the festivities while you can!
