Movie Review: Can't Buy Me Love
Can't Buy Me Love is an American coming of age and teen film released in 1987. It is produced by Steve Rash, starring Patrick Dempsey as Ronald Miller and Amanda Peterson as Cindy Mancini.
A low life nerd, Ronald Miller (Patrick Dempsey) is in love with the most popular girl in school, Cindy Mancini (Amanda Peterson). He runs into Cindy while she is in the middle of a crisis and strikes a deal with her. She helps him break into the popular clique by pretending to date him for a month for one thousand dollars. The plan works, but Ronald will soon realize that popularity isn’t all that he thought it was.
Can't Buy Me Love is a wonderful film that shows the difference between social classes in high school. This film is fun to watch anywhere with anyone. Can't Buy Me Love is a great film to watch when you feel like watching an old movie that is totally relatable to every high school student. I recommend this film completely.
