Academic Student Services
Every teacher offers office hours at least one afternoon a week to provide extra help to any student as needed. Many teachers are also available in the mornings and multiple afternoons after school. NO CHARGE to the student.
Students may retest major assignments after attending office hours. Retesting is offered every Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Retesting enables a student to show evidence of mastery learning (with a grade of an 80.) NO CHARGE to the student.
In the Learning Commons on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Any student needing additional academic support or access to technology may attend. NO CHARGE to students.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center is a resource for writers. It offers students one-to-one writing conferences to improve not only the papers they bring, but also their writing abilities. Students may bring writing from any class at any point in the process of writing, from brainstorming to editing. Writing tutors ask questions as readers, make suggestions, and help students learn to revise and edit. The Writing Center is every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Mr. Cook's room. NO CHARGE to students.
The Math Center
The Math Center is a resource for students to develop their mathematical abilities. It offers students one-on-one math help sessions to improve their math skills and problems. The Math center is located at the end of Math and PE hall, in Mr. Frans room.
Students may bring assignments from Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II to receive instruction from a math tutor. The Math Center is every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 p.m. NO CHARGE to students.
