BREAKING: Landmark Notre Dame on Fire
The beloved Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is on fire. Massive flames are engulfing the church. The cause is unknown as to how the fire started. It could be due to renovations. Part of the spire of the cathedral has fallen due to the flames. We will keep you updated with all the latest information.

Notre Dame has major damages to the structure. The roof has collapsed and the main room of the cathedral is down. The firefighters on scene have the job of trying to save as much of the heavy artwork that is inside the cathedral as possible. The two towers in the front and some of the back that face the river are still standing. The whole frame of the cathedral is burning. The fire has moved inside the structure. There have been no deaths reported so far.

The stained glass windows appear to be heavily damaged. Firefighters are struggling to contain the fire. The cathedral has serious infrastructure damage due to the fires and water hoses. It will be hard, if possible, to restore the cathedral to its previous state.

Roughly 400 firefighters are at Notre Dame Cathedral trying to fight this fire. Much artwork has been removed safely from the church but much more have been damaged or completely destroyed.

One fireman has obtained serious injuries. Those living near Notre Dame have been evacuated in case of serious devastation of the church. One of the bell towers had caught on fire but was able to be put out. Crews are beginning to be optimistic and saying the two bell towers have a likely chance of being saved. Crews are saying that a few more hours are needed and the fire should be contained.

The Paris police chief states that the structure of Notre Dame has been saved. The fire has been stopped from spreading to the northern belfry.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. However, a preliminary investigation shows links to the renovations that were undergo could have caused an accidental fire. The fire started somewhere between 6:00 and 7:00 PM in France time. At this time, efforts are focused on saving the artwork and the northern tower.

- Fragment of the True Cross: Pieces of the cross Jesus was potentially crucified on
- One of the Holy Nails: A nail that was used during the crucifixtion
- Numerous sculptures, statues, paintings
- Gargoyles and chimeras
