A Farewell to the Davises
Mr. and Mrs. Davis are both important figures of our GMC Family. Not a soul at our school will be pleased in the slightest to hear that they will be leaving after this school year.
The Davises will be moving to Salt Lake City, Utah, around the end of June. Mr. Davis will be taking a position as a Discipleship Pastor at Hope Church. Mrs. Davis has accepted a position teaching Biology and Zoology at Hillcrest High School, and Mr. Davis may still teach and coach along with his pastoral position.
While this move is "for the foreseeable future," the Davises have their family (their GMC Family also, they assured) here in the Greenville area, so they will visit as often as they can. When asked if they had any parting words, Mrs. Davis said:
"Our GMC family will always have a special place in our hearts. We truly believe that GMC students are the best in the world, and we are excited to see what the future holds for everyone! GMC has meant so much to us over the past four years, and we have gained much by being a part of this incredible school. We want to make it clear to everyone that we are not leaving because we want to get away from GMC to pursue a better school; we are moving because we truly believe that God has called us to Utah, and we are excited for the work he has for us there. 'Goodbyes' are so hard--so instead, we will just say 'See you soon!' Much love, Blazer Nation!"
