What to Expect When You are Expecting A Royal
A long awaited occasion for those of us who love the royals! Meghan Markle gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy on May 6 at 5:26 AM. He weighed 7lbs and 3oz. The Duchess's mother, Doria Ragland was present for the birth. The Duchess had planned on a home birth but was willing to go to the hospital if that was what was best for the baby. Because she was overdue, this ended up being the case. She ended up being secretly taken to the hospital for delivery. The happy couple waited a few days to announce the name, and here it is: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Archies of the world have mixed feelings.
When there is news of a royal baby, we expect the birth to be at the Lindo Wing and a photoshoot outside to show off the baby afterward. But in typical Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fashion, we could expect something outside of tradition: a home birth, no photoshoot outside the Lindo Wing, and I cant seem to find out if she even gave birth at the Lindo Wing. From the beginning this couple has strayed from tradition, and we love them for it!
Also, apparently Prince George introduced himself as Archie to a woman with a dog that he stopped to pet back in January. Hmm.
