Chicken Crack

Looking for the perfect tailgate food? Have no fear, chicken crack is here!

Ingredients and measurements

20 ounces of chicken, drained. Can be substituted with a rotisserie chicken.

16 ounces of softened cream cheese

1 cup of ranch dressing

¾ cups of hot sauce

1 ¼ cups and 1 tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese

1 bunch of celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces. Optional

Assortment of chips and crackers


Step 1: Heat hot sauce and chicken in a pan over medium heat.

Step 2: Stir in cream cheese and ranch.

Step 3: Stir until blended and warm.

Step 4: Mix in half of the shredded cheese and stir until melted.

Step 5: Sprinkle the left over cheese over top of the mixture without stirring in.

Step 6: Turn heat off and let cheese melt.

Step 7: Serve with chips, crackers, or celery sticks.

My dad makes this recipe and it is a huge hit in my family! Many of my brothers will request that he make it even when football season ends. I always enjoy eating it and it requires minimal clean up. Plus, there are many ways to change the recipe so that many people with different tastes can eat it.
