Dress Code Update
Regular Dress Code
GMC Dress Code has been updated for the 2020-2021 school year. Polos may be long-sleeved or short-sleeved, and either black, navy, light blue, or white. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Khakis must be khaki material and either black or "khaki" color. The largest notable change in dress code this year is that grey outerwear is prohibited. Any sweatshirts worn must be school apparel, such as for a GMC club, activity or fundraiser. No trench coats, vests, t-shirts, or long-sleeved t-shirts are allowed on regular dress code days. Spiked jewelry and chains are not allowed, and facial jewelry other than earrings must be studs only. Footwear is always required.
Dress Down Days
As we saw towards the end of last year, bottoms on dress down days may only be khakis, black pants, blue jeans, or skirts no shorter than the top of the knee. This excludes overalls, athletic shorts and pants, jumpers, sweatpants, etc.
Consequences for violating dress code may include:
First violation: 30 minute after-school detention
Second violation: 60 minute after-school detention
Third violation: 2 hour Saturday detention
Anything after the third dress code violation can include up to a 4 hour Saturday detention.
